Meet-up to eat-up with some Tweet-ups

We went to St. Pete yesterday to watch the Rays game at Ferg's Sports Bar and (finally!) meet, as in face-to-face, some people with whom I've only interacted on line via Twitter. Among them, the legendary Citizen Jane whom I've "known" for years, and fellow Rays die-hards Crystal, Clarence and Lynne Austin. What's that? Oh yeah, that Lynne Austin. I'm sorry, did I interrupt you saying something about connections made via social media being lame?

First stop was the brand new Super 7 toy store.

Home of Mummy Boy...

Mummy Gators...

And whatever these guys are.

Next, we went to Haslam's, Florida's largest new and used book store to check out some pulp fiction.

You know, as an author it has to be a nice feeling when you've worked really hard on research and fact checking for your book and you've got it all done and all the publisher has to do is slap a cover on it so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the accomplishment....

D'oh!!!!

Sometimes, you don't need a sign to tell you that you should check out at another register.

Then we got to Ferg's and found this lady peddling her wares. (WARNING: Don't drink the beers she has in her right hand. They taste like ass water.)

If you think Godzilla tore up Tokyo, you should see what he did to these wings.

"Mmmm, beer!"

Finally, here's the gang, together again for the first time. (L to R: Me, Crystal, Lynne, Clarence, Renee, Jane. Not pictured, because she was taking the photo, Kelly in her Jason Bartlett jersey)
