Pushing the envelope by being filmed entirely in one small yet tastefully appointed hotel room, this film captures the plight of one man in the omni-present internal struggle that every man, woman and child must face: wanting something that is unattainable.
In this film, unrequited desire was symbolized demurely by the writer as a simple, locked window. With a personable cast and beautiful photography, this transcendent and uncomplicated film leaves us wanting more.
Of course, the writer & director could have been overly trite by presenting a brick - laden with meaning - to smash the window and thereby giving the main character sudden satisfaction. By ending with uncertainty, though, they have allowed us to look inward to find the brick to our own personal window. 4 out of 5 stars.
Uh, I just wanted to see some boobies.
