There was a time when you'd see place mats with this kind of artwork in every diner in the state of Florida, touting all the exciting culture and activity there was to experience here in the land of sunshine.
There was also a time when Florida wasn't nearly as exciting and culturally active as it is today, such as when this particular artwork was used...
That's right. Some time before 1959, when Busch Gardens opened and Tampa was known primarily for "Spanish Resturants", apparently people used to flock to Lakeland to watch gentlemen in tuxedos shake hands.
