We're so stupid. All this time we've wasted launching apes and monkeys into space, teaching them how to do sign language, locking them in a room with typewriters and hoping they'll reproduce the complete works of Shakespeare.
All along, we could have been learning worthwhile things from them. But no, we were too busy being clever to pay attention.
What a bunch of chumps...not chimps...we are.
